Single split (2.5kW bedroom) from £1,800 + VAT including the unit, install, F-Gas pressure-test, commissioning and 3-year parts warranty. Living-room installs at 3.5-5kW typically £2,200-£2,800. Daikin Stylish is our default for residential installs. Wall-mounted, inverter-driven, quiet, neat-looking. Range from FTXA20 (2.0 kW, small bedroom) to FTXA60 (6.0 kW, very large open plan). For period properties or formal rooms we use cassettes or concealed-duct units.
Yes. Every Daikin Stylish unit runs in both cooling and heating modes. Coefficient of performance is around 4 in mild weather (1 kW electric in, ~4 kW heat out). For upstairs bedrooms where the central heating struggles, running the AC in heating mode is often cheaper than turning up the boiler.
Usually no for residential installs. Permitted development covers most cases as long as the outdoor unit is below a certain size, not on the front elevation, and more than 1m from a property boundary. Conservation areas (Richmond, parts of Twickenham, Putney Embankment) have tighter rules. We check planning position on the survey.
Single-split bedroom or lounge: 1 day, usually 5-7 hours. 2-zone multi-split: 1-2 days. Whole-house 4-5 zone install: 2-3 days including pipework through cupboards or external runs.
