Enter your room dimensions, tell us about the sun and the glass, and we'll calculate the BTU and kW you need, the right Daikin Stylish model, and an installed-price band.
Measure the room you want to cool. Length, width, and ceiling height.
Each toggle changes the BTU requirement. Defaults are the most common case.

It's a starting point, but it overestimates for well-insulated modern homes and underestimates for high-ceilinged Victorian rooms. The calculator above uses 135 W/m² as a baseline, then adjusts for ceiling height, glazing and use. Final size confirmed on a survey.
BTU/h is the imperial measure of cooling capacity (British Thermal Units per hour). kW is the metric one. They're the same thing in different units: 1 kW = 3,412 BTU/h.
No. Oversizing causes more problems than it solves. An AC unit too big for the room short-cycles: it runs for a few minutes, hits target temperature, stops, then the room heats up and it kicks back on. The room never dehumidifies properly and the compressor wears out years early.
Usually no. Air-con units fall under permitted development for most UK homes as long as the outdoor unit isn't on the front elevation facing a highway, is below a certain size, and is more than a metre from the property boundary. Conservation areas, listed buildings and flats often have stricter rules.
A single-split bedroom or lounge install is one day, usually 5-7 hours. A 2-zone multi-split is one to two days. A whole-house 4-5 zone install is typically two to three days.
Modern inverter AC (Daikin Stylish is inverter-driven throughout) is much cheaper than people expect. A 2.5kW unit cooling a bedroom overnight uses around 1.5-2 kWh, typically 50-70p at current rates.
