What we do

Emergency service & repair

Walk-in not holding temp. Condenser fan motor failure. Refrigerant leak. Compressor short-cycling. We carry common spares so first-visit fixes are the norm: condenser fans (multiple sizes), filter dryers, contactors, fan speed controllers, HP/LP switches, expansion devices.

Walk-in installs

New walk-in cold room or freezer installs, typically Foster, Williams, Norpe or Coldroom Solutions panels. Evaporator and condenser sizing based on duty cycle, panel construction and stock turnover. Refrigerant selection (R448A is our default for MT, R454C for low-GWP LT new installs). Commissioning, F-Gas log entry, written O&M handover.

PPM contracts

Quarterly or biannual planned preventative maintenance. Each visit includes: condenser coil clean, condensate trap clear, fan motor inspection, door seal check, refrigerant pressure log, temperature trace review, and statutory F-Gas leak check on systems above the threshold. Written report after every visit. Multi-site portfolios get consolidated reporting per quarter.

R448A and R449A retrofits

Older walk-ins on R404A or R407C are textbook retrofit candidates. R448A is near drop-in: same POE oil, similar pressures, filter dryer replacement and TXV superheat adjustment. We do these as scheduled out-of-hours work to avoid stock loss. Use the retrofit advisor for a 90-second scope.

How quickly can you respond to a walk-in failure?

In central London, same-day where the diary allows, usually within 4-6 hours during working hours. Outside central London the same-day window depends on diary. Our 24/7 emergency line covers nights and weekends; emergency response is typically 60-90 minutes to on-site in west London out of hours.

What's the most common walk-in fault we see?

Failed condenser fan motor is the single biggest cause of walk-in failures. Heavily contaminated coil is second. Both are fixable on a same-day visit with stock parts. Refrigerant leaks are third and need pressure-testing to locate before the fix.

Do you do walk-in cold room installs as well as service?

Yes. Insulated panel walk-ins (Foster, Williams, Coldroom Solutions, Norpe), evaporator and condenser sizing, refrigerant selection (R448A is the default for new MT installs), commissioning and F-Gas log. Typical 3-5 day install for a kitchen-scale walk-in.
