Breakdown response

Commercial boiler down. Triage on the call, engineer rolling. Most common faults: ignition lockout, condensate freeze (winter), pressure sensor failure, gas valve, control board, fan failure. Stock parts on the van for ignition components and common pressure switches.

Bundled CP42 + service visit

Annual CP42 commercial Gas Safety Record combined with the annual service in a single visit. Cheaper than booking each separately. Common for hospitality, office buildings and small care facilities.

How long does a commercial boiler service take?

Single appliance, 90 minutes to 2 hours depending on access and condition. Plant-room with 2-3 boilers, half a day. Most service work is single-visit including combustion analysis, safety check, gas tightness verification and a written record.

What does a service include?

Visual inspection, combustion analysis (flue gas analyser readings logged), safety device function checks (FFD, pilot, thermocouple), gas tightness, ventilation check, condensate trap, expansion vessel pressure check. Plus appliance-specific items per manufacturer schedule.

What happens if you find a fault?

Critical faults (gas leak, dangerous appliance, immediately dangerous installation) get isolated on the spot, a Gas Warning Notice is filed, and we discuss remediation immediately. Non-critical advisory items get listed with recommended timeframes. We don't gold-plate findings to drum up extra work.

Can I bundle boiler service with CP42?

Yes. Annual CP42 + service combined visit is cheaper than booking separately. We do this routinely for hospitality and FM customers.
